By creating an account or otherwise using Legafy (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“you” or “User”) agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and all other rules referenced herein. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of Legafy immediately.

2. Use of the Platform

2.1 You must be at least 18 years old to use our services. You agree to provide accurate information and comply with all applicable laws when using Legafy.

2.2 Any misuse, unauthorised access, or illegal activity is strictly prohibited. You assume responsibility for any actions taken under your account credentials, whether or not authorized by you.

3. Lawyer-Client Relationship

3.1 Legafy is an AI-powered matching service that connects Users with independent lawyers based on information you provide. We do not create, nor do we intend to create, an attorney-client relationship. Any legal representation arises solely between you and the lawyer you match with.

3.2 We do not endorse or guarantee any lawyer’s credentials, expertise, or outcomes. You acknowledge that all legal advice or representation is provided at the discretion of the lawyer.

4. Fees and Payments

4.1 We may charge a success-based fee to law firms as outlined in our pricing section. By using our Platform, you acknowledge these fees may apply and are subject to change with prior notice.

4.2 Users (clients) generally do not pay Legafy directly but remain responsible for any legal fees owed to their lawyer. Law firms pay success-based fees when they accept and retain a client through Legafy.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 All content, trademarks, and data on Legafy, including AI matching algorithms and platform design, are owned by or licensed to Legafy.

5.2 You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission. Any feedback you provide may be used by Legafy to enhance our services without further obligation.

6. Limitation of Liability

6.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Legafy shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to your use of our Platform. We do not guarantee the accuracy or completeness of lawyer profiles, user content, or any data derived from AI analyses.

6.2 The AI matching system provides suggestions only. You must independently evaluate any lawyer’s suitability. We do not guarantee outcomes or success of legal representation.

7. Termination

7.1 We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent, harmful, or unlawful activities. We may also terminate or modify the Platform at any time without prior notice.

7.2 Upon termination, any provisions meant to survive (e.g., Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability) shall remain in effect.

8. Changes to These Terms

8.1 We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use of Legafy after any update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

8.2 If you do not agree with any modifications, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.
